Start Now

I know, it has been a while, I've been busy and I'm sorry. But I am back and plan on writing at least a few times every month!
I know it is cliché at this time of the year but I want to talk about New Year's Resolutions. I have always thought that resolutions for the upcoming year were just people's ways of making excused to let their whole life go until the new year. But in reality they don't, and everything just goes back to the way it was and the year starts again, and then the cycle continues again the next year. So this year, I am starting my New Year's Resolutions early, and by that I mean now. Here is a list of the things that I will start doing now, so that I go into the year already feeling better.
- Organize my time. And by that I mean I will be continuing my college education, so I want to improve on managing my days so that I have stress free plans on what I need to do and when I need to do it so that I don't go crazy!
- Worry less. Which I know isn't an easy thing to do, especially for me. But I know that I can do it if I follow just a few steps. 1) Breathe, when I am stressed out and worrying about something I often am so focused on it that I forget to breathe. So I need to remind myself that if I breathe, try not to panic and give myself time to think, I can figure it out. 2) I will also try and show more live to myself so that I can stop worrying about what people think of me. I am an extraordinary woman. And that is not cockiness, that is confidence. So I am choosing to be confident and worry less.
- And finally, I will be taking more time to be in the moment with the people I love, which means way less time on social media and my phone. (But I will still be posting on here, it doesn't count!)
I have always felt that the most important thing about starting the new year off great is starting it off with the people you love. And I don't just meaning having a big New Year's party and getting wasted with your friends and family and accidently shooting fireworks at the neighbors house. I mean going into a new year being present and spending quality time with the people you love most. And continuing that throughout the entire year.
I want to end the year the way I am starting the next. I want to spend the next 370 days fighting to be better. And I think that everyone should. I mean what is the difference in starting your New Year's resolutions now and on Saturday? NOTHING! So... why not start now.
We got this!
